ABOUT JOHN
John Scott is a world-renowned practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga. He was certified to teach by Shri K Pattabhi Jois in 1994, having studied with him in Mysore, India, since 1989. He has produced a popular DVD and the best-selling book, "Ashtanga Yoga."
John offers his insights and experiences of Ashtanga Yoga with a warm and generous teaching style that has endeared him to students worldwide. His clarity, precision and grace are a great inspiration for aspiring yoga practitioners.

WORKSHOP SUMMARY
Class 1
1% Theory
This Vinyasa class will commence the 4-day workshop by introducing Guruji's number one focus 'The Counted Vinyasa.'

Class 2
One Count, One Breath, One Body Movement, One Mind, One Consciousness
This Vinyasa class will take the 1% theory and put it into 99% practice, bringing the whole group together as one flowing body in a Dynamic Movement Meditation.

Class 3
3 Pillars / 8 Limbs / 5 Bodies
This class will introduce 'Yoga' The Science of Life, discussing the principles of Ashtanga, its theories and concepts, and concludes with John bringing the group together through the Ujjayi breathing technique, the "Victorious breath."

Class 4
Foundations - Know The Root To Know The Blossom
To go 'up' one must learn to Know The Root. This class will be a playful look at the dynamics of flight. You might even jump through.

Class 5
New Patterns / New Pathways
Putting theory into practice, in this class John will weave into the practice techniques explored on Saturday and through the free-flowing power of Ujjayi the group will once again find themselves flying as one breath, one body and one consciousness.

Class 6
Stirring The Inner Winds, Chanting And Pranayama
Moving from the Victorious Breath to the song of the breath within the breath.
